We investigate the physics of charge carriers confined in nanostructured semiconductors where we are especially interested in relating the atomic scale structure to the electronic, optical and magnetic properties.

We investigate nanoscale optical processes for the generation, nonlinear control and detection of light at the single-photon level.

We investigate the growth of nanoscale semiconductors with emphasis on the lateral ordering of quantum dots and their telecom applications.
