Welcome! to the pages of TPS, the Theory of Polymers and Soft Matter Group at Eindhoven University of Technology. This is us, on a sunny Eindhoven afternoon.

In our group, theoretical research is carried out on polymers and other soft materials. The central issue in this research is the understanding of the relation between the molecular and microstructure of materials, the microscopic physical processes bringing about these structures, and the resulting material properties. In short: the structure-dynamics-property relation. Methods from various areas of theoretical physics are used: statistical and soft-matter physics, solid-state quantum theory, but also large-scale computer simulations from the electronic to the mesolevel length- and timescales.
